Seeing Hands a non-profit organization in Rwanda that trains young people with blindness and visual impairment to become masseurs. COGNOS International has signed a cooperation agreement with the organization in 2022 and supports them on a voluntary basis with education and training. In recent months, we have provided training in physiotherapy, anatomy ,and marketing, and social media in Kigali. With our donations of a skeleton for the anatomy teaching and uniforms for the trainees, the organisation's equipment has been able to increase a little. We are so proud of what our partners do here every day!
SAGE Hospital e.V. is a hospital founded in 2004 in Warang, about 80 km south of the capital Dakar, in the Senegalese countryside in West Africa. It was set up primarily to provide essential care (deliveries, vaccinations, gynaecology, dental care, etc.) at affordable prices. The project is financed exclusively by donations. All the people involved in the project work on a voluntary basis and regularly travel to Senegal to carry out maintenance work and support development. Under the theme "The party helps!", the association has been generating donations of money and materials through events and celebrity supporters for the past twenty years. The COGNOS International team, together with teachers and master students from its subsidiary LUNEX University, visits the SAGE Hospital at least once a year. Over the past three years, more than 40 patients have been treated free of charge in the fields of general medicine and physiotherapy.
